I was sitting in my room, browsing the web, when I heard a truck stop infront of my house. glancing out of the 2nd story of my small suburban house, i saw the mailman walking away from my mailbox. he got back in his car and drove off. wondering what could have arrived at 3:30pm on a friday, i got up out of my comfy swivel chair and trotted down the stairs, swinging open my front door and checking the mailbox. it had a small package in it addressed to me. "that's odd" i murmured to myself. i didn't order anything... and who would send me a package? my relatives dont care enough about me to send me things. i swiped it out of the box and walked back up the stairs back to the comfortable chair in my room. i looked at the package... it had no return address. "wait.. why am i acting so intense?" i chuckled to myself and tore open the little cardboard box. it had a picture of a resort on a beach and said "YOU'RE INVITED!!" in big flashy obnoxious letters. i cocked an eyebrow at this cheesy pamphlet and unfolded it. apparently i was invited to a flashy resort for some unknown reason. and all i had to do was pay for a ticket to "Biloba Island", whatever that is, and the rest is totally free.

At first i thought it was fake, but then i remembered how its summer vacation and i've had nothing to do for the first three days of it. After that, i thought why not give it a shot? so the next day i told my mom and dad about it. they approved once they saw how interestingly affordable the tickets were. so by tuesday i was at the airport going to biloba island. My parents gave me some cash and an emergency credit card and sent me off after i packed all my things. the flight was long and boring, i tried to fall asleep but i never have luck falling asleep on planes so i just gave up and looked out the window while listening to music. The plane landed after what seemed like days, and i was welcomed by two men that worked for the resort after i got my luggage.

"We'll take those for you sir, they'll be in your room by the time you get there. all arriving residents are instructed to go to the opening ceremony while the rooms are prepared for your enjoyment. here is your seat number, right this way sir!" the employes led me to a hallway that ended with big double doors i opened them and felt a slight tropical breeze across my face. the weather was beautiful! there was another employee that took a look at my ticket and directed me to my seat. i ran a hand through my medium length blonde hair and sighed, it was nice to breathe some fresh air for once. there were a lot of people sitting, and waiting for the ceremony to start. i distracted myself with my phone while i waited for the event to begin.

"Welcome! Welcome! Please quiet down! im sure you all want to get to your rooms by now!" i looked up as a chubby, round, man was up on the stage with a microphone. "alright, that's more like it! now im sure you're all excited about being here and just want to relax and have fun but-" after that i kinda just tuned him out... his voice was really enthusiastic and loud and all he did was just blab about the things you can do and what not. After he was done talking everyone clapped and cheered and got up to go to their rooms. i walked up to the residential part of the resort and rode the elevator up to floor 2.

"207...207...ah here we go." i looked at the metal plate on my door that said 207. i unlocked it with the card key i was provided with and stepped inside.
